Air Methods is seeking an experienced base aviation team leader to direct daily operations and ensure safety is the top priority in all activities. You will confirm airworthiness, perform thorough pre-flight checks, and maintain strict adherence to FARs and company procedures.
The role requires strong aircraft knowledge, ability to plan flights on short notice, and collaboration with EMS partners. You will provide input to staff evaluations and act as liaison to the aviation specialty team.
Job Summary
Responsible for daily operations and leadership of the base aviation team and assures safety is communicated as the ”number on priority” in all activities. Responsible to ensure aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area. Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), General Operations Manual guidelines (GOM), and thorough knowledge of Air Methods policies and procedures. Serves as a role model for staff; meets and maintains all credentials/qualifications required of a Line Pilot.
