Job summary

Universal Helicopters in Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking an Entry Level A&P Technician to join our team. FAA certificated A&P technicians are desired to maintain Tecnam P2010 airplanes and helicopters including Bell models, R22/R44. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a team or independently in a fast-paced environment.

Wages commensurate with experience. Initial weekday daytime shifts are typical, with potential for varied hours.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing FAA A&P certificate and meet CFR 65.83 experience.
• Strong knowledge of GA aircraft maintenance and engines.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Effective communication with students, instructors, pilots and co-workers.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and correct malfunctions and discrepancies.

Universal Helicopters / Universal Flight Concepts is currently accepting resumes for soon to be and currently FAA certificated A&P Maintenance Technicians to become part of their team providing superior maintenance to its own fleet of new Tecnam P2008, P2010 airplanes in addition to its fleet of helicopters of which includes the following models; Bell 206, Bell 505, Robinson R22, and Robinson R44. Universal Helicopters is located at the Scottsdale Airport just Northeast of Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Requirements:

• Preparing to test and or have a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Must meet the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR §65.83).
• Have a complete and through working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of GA (General Aviation) aircraft and reciprocating engines along with their associated systems.
• Be able to work well with others in a team environment or independently if needed.
• Have analytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative details related to the job.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively and deal courteously and professionally with students, instructors, pilots and co-workers alike.
• Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions or discrepancies.
• Have a high level of initiative and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Have proficient computer skills for accessing online publications, to include use of Microsoft Word.
• Have the ability to physically perform climbing, stooping, stretching, etc. for operations related to the job and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Currently hiring primarily for a weekday daytime position, 7-4, 8-5 and or possibly 9-6.
• Wages/Salary commensurate to experience.
