Job summary

Sterling Helicopter in Croydon, PA is seeking an Avionics Technician to troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain aircraft avionics, electrical, instrument, and wiring systems in accordance with FAA regulations and Sterling’s procedures.

The role requires hands-on diagnostic work, in-flight evaluation when needed, meticulous documentation, and ensuring safety and reliability in a busy maintenance hangar.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of avionics technician experience in civilian aviation.
• Civilian helicopter experience preferred, with Airbus, Bell, Leonardo, and Sikorsky aircraft.
• FCC GROL or ASTM NCATT AET certification preferred.
• FAA A&P certificate preferred.
• Must possess a basic set of tools and basic computer skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, remove, repair, replace, and install avionics, electrical, instrument, and wiring systems.
• Diagnose aircraft discrepancies and perform repairs using applicable data.
• Analyze test data to evaluate system operation.
• Test electrical and avionics systems to verify proper operation.
• Document work performed on work orders and maintenance records.
• Perform in-flight evaluation and adjustments when required.
• Maintain avionics test equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Perform off-site maintenance or inspections as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
