Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a HAA Pilot in Placerville, CA, to join the REACH helicopter air ambulance program. The role requires extensive rotorcraft experience, commercial certificate, IFR rating, and current medical clearance, with ongoing training and documentation duties.

The position features a strong compensation package including a $15,000 sign-on bonus, retention bonuses after three years, a $5,000 fire stipend, and on-duty housing for eligible locations.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• US Forest Service carding: 100 flight hours in past 12 months.
• US Forest Service carding: 50 hours in AS350.
• US Forest Service carding: 200 hours of mountain flight time.
• Total flight hours: 2,000.
• Helicopter hours: 1,500.
• Helicopter PIC hours: 1,000.
• Turbine helicopter hours: 500.
• Night unaided hours: 100 or unaided 50 + 100 aided.
• Flight gear weight limit 230 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical professionals to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches per FAR/REACH requirements and aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info to subsequent pilot and team following protocol for REACH change board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
