Job summary

Soloy Helicopters LLC in Wasilla, Alaska, is seeking an FAA A&P certified mechanic to maintain rotorcraft including AS350/BK117/B205/B212/MD500/R44 models. This permanent position offers field and shop work with travel across Alaska.

As a Shop/Field mechanic your duties include inspecting, troubleshooting, removing/installing subsystems, servicing and preparing aircraft for inspections, and supporting maintenance checks in accordance with FAA rules.

Qualifications

• Must be FAA A&P certificated.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance; inspections and corrosion control of aircraft components, airframe and powerplant.
• Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
• Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
• Perform maintenance operational checks, diagnostics, and troubleshooting aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
• Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals while complying with applicable Government and FAA rules & regulations on maintenance.
• Perform daily/post-flight inspections as required.
• Conduct off-site maintenance when required.
• Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.
• Effectively communicate with the customer in a courteous, professional manner.

We are also looking for a newly Certified A&P, looking to gain experience in Rotorcraft Maintenance.

Soloy Helicopters is an Alaskan-owned and operated helicopter charter company based out of Wasilla, Alaska. Job Requirements:

• Preferred experience on Aircraft Models: AS350B2/B3/B3e~BK117B1/B2~MD500D~Bell205A1++/212/ R44
