GCM Grosvenor invites applications for the ARS Portfolio Management Intern position in Chicago. This 10-week summer internship introduces the alternative investment industry with hands-on exposure to investments, client servicing and operations within the ARS group.

Qualified candidates are rising seniors in Finance, Economics or related fields, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028, with strong communication and Excel/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BA/BS with finance/economics or related field, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Strong interest in investments and alternative assets helpful but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client and staff interactions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Professionalism, integrity and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Construct forward-looking portfolio plans allocating client capital to hedge funds.
• Analyze portfolios using internal risk analytics to inform allocations.
• Draft portfolio-related correspondence and client solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of hedge funds and investment themes.
• Collaborate with BD, Marketing and Legal on portfolio presentations.
• Test allocation plans for compliance and participate in weekly meetings.
• Complete a case study to present to PM and Risk teams.

Education

BA/BS with Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field (expected graduation Winter 2027 or Spring 2028)
