Job summary

Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa seeks a Restaurant Manager to oversee Heck's Tavern and related F&B operations in the Colorado Rockies. You will lead front-of-house teams, ensure top guest service, and collaborate on menu and revenue strategies.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining SOPs to uphold quality and safety. This pivotal role drives operational excellence across multiple venues and engages with guests and staff daily.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership and guest service skills.
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and liquor laws.
  • Experience managing budgeting and payroll.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the front-of-house food and beverage operations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of F&B on revenue-generating strategies.
  • Execute the business plan and contribute to the success of food and beverage operations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the back-of-house/culinary team.
  • Ensure the highest level of guest service, in line with DTR standards.
  • Oversee hiring, training, development, and coaching of restaurant staff.
  • Lead training and product knowledge initiatives for staff and assistant managers.
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, and termination paperwork.
  • Implement and maintain SOPs; create new SOPs when necessary, pending approval.
  • Assist with budgeting and resource allocation for restaurant operations.
  • Manage financial reporting, including daily revenue, forecasts, and promotions.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Actively work the floor to support staff and ensure smooth operations.
  • Solicit guest feedback and resolve guest complaints.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and recycling efforts meet DTR and health department standards.
  • Protect company assets and ensure the upkeep of restaurant tools and property.

Principle Purpose of Job

The Restaurant Manager oversees all front-of-house food and beverage operations at Heck's Tavern, including employee oversight, guest satisfaction, service standards, beverage program management, and menu development in collaboration with the culinary team. This role is responsible for leading successful revenue-generating efforts and ensuring overall operational excellence at Heck's Tavern, Hallowed Grounds, the Pool Bar, and other F&B operations within Devil’s Thumb Ranch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Compensation Description:$65,000 – $80,000/yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
