Graybar in Phoenix is hiring a Heavy Warehouse Material Handler responsible for receiving, storing, selecting, packing and shipping inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 70 pounds, operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and perform duties in a fast-paced distribution setting. The position offers an employee-owned culture with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, push carts and other machinery safely.
• Work in a warehouse environment with seasonal changes and temperature variations.
• Follow safety instructions and use PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical tasks to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment and large machinery safely.
• Maintain an orderly, clean warehouse and follow safety procedures.
• Cut wire and cable with machines and ensure accurate cuts.
• Load, measure, cut, spool, and bundle wires and cables for job orders.
• Fill product orders by type, length, and size requested by customers.
• Receive incoming material per WMS, identify discrepancies, and prepare for storage.
• Store product per WMS procedures.
• Pack and ship UPS orders per WMS for packing, weighing, and loading.
• Process non-UPS orders via WMS and prepare for transport.
• Pack replenishment shipments per WMS procedures.
• Handle stock tickets and pack cross-dock shipments per WMS.
• Sort and pack LTL shipments per WMS.
• Conduct cycle counts and verify bin locations, reconcile discrepancies.
