LKQ Corporation in Toledo, OH is seeking a motivated Sales Associate to promote our automotive parts line and build lasting customer relationships.

You will present part options, explain pricing and delivery details, process orders, and follow up to ensure satisfaction. A background in automotive parts and sales, plus basic math and computer skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related sales experience required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and ability to learn product information.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide information on warranties, price, quality, delivery times, and payment methods.
• Complete internal documents for transactions (credits, invoices, work orders, returns).
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers to grow business.
• Inform customers of prices, shipping dates, delays, and additional information needed.
• Advise customers on substitutions when parts are unavailable.
• Process orders – entry, pricing, quantities, shipping data.
• Follow-up with customers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay $20.00 - $25.00hr to start then to commission plan.

Must have sales and automotive / truck parts knowledge.

Responsible for generating revenue by promoting sales of new and existing company products, providing customer service, evaluating customer needs, and answering questions regarding parts, pricing, and services.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide relevant information on warranties, price, quality of parts, delivery times, and payment methods.
• Complete internal documents supporting any transaction (credits, invoices, work order and/or interchange and returns, etc.).
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers to cultivate new business.
• Inform customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
• Advise customers on substitution or modification of part when part requested is not available.
• Process orders – perform order entry, review orders for correct handling, pricing, quantities, and shipping data (may dispatch orders in some locations).
• Follow-up with customers as needed.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of related experience required

Preferred Requirements

• College coursework or degree.
• Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. May expain and offer guidance on routine procedures.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
