Job summary

Amentum in Lanham, MD, is seeking a Truck Driver to operate trucks up to 14,000 lbs for parts and material deliveries, both on and off government installations. You will inspect vehicles, secure loads, and assist with loading/unloading while following Dispatcher directions.

Must have a valid license and be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. The role requires daily assignments, safety awareness, and routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months general experience and six months specific experience required.
• Must obtain license to operate any equipment within 30 days of selection.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks up to 14,000 lbs to destinations based on instructions and maps.
• Inspect trucks before and after trips.
• Monitor vehicle during operation and report maintenance needs.
• Secure loads to ensure safe delivery and arrival.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on the truck.
