Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking an experienced Heavy Transportation Driver to support the Supply Logistics organization in California. The role involves operating heavy trucks and trailers, loading and unloading freight, securing loads, and performing basic vehicle inspections while coordinating with teams on site.

Applicants should have four or more years of experience and a valid California Class A CDL with a clean record and interstate driving capability.

Qualifications

Four or more years of experience as a Heavy Transportation Driver.
Valid California Class A Driver's License with a clean abstract and the ability to drive interstate.
Endorsements such as Hazmat, Tankers, Doubles and Triples preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Drives heavy truck and tows trailers to transport material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Loads and unloads freight and construction equipment from truck/trailer.
Operates or directs others in operation of truck/trailer auxiliaries and material handling equipment.
Loads and distributes load, secures loads, and covers as needed.
Performs vehicle inspections and basic repairs or adjustments.
Attaches coupling, safety chains, lights, and warning flags.
Signs paperwork for receipt and delivery of freight.
Prepares vehicle operator reports.
