Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks Mobile Equipment Operators for Sabine Parish to help maintain and build roads and bridges. Positions report to the Highway Foreman in Sabine, District 08/Unit 530.

Qualifications

• No experience or training is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and specialized equipment used in road and bridge maintenance
• Assist with construction, repair, and upkeep of highways and bridges
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Support traffic control, cleanup, and emergency response activities
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading materials, and using hand and power tools
• Assist or guide lower-level operators as needed
