Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of heavy-line automotive repair experience.
• GM Certification preferred but not required.
• ASE Certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong experience with engine diagnostics, transmission repair, electrical diagnostics, and drivability concerns.
• Ability to independently diagnose and complete complex repairs.
• Strong understanding of scan tools and computerized vehicle systems.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair major engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
• Perform engine and transmission replacements and related major repairs.
• Diagnose drivability and electrical concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Perform manufacturer warranty repairs in accordance with factory standards.
• Accurately document all repairs, diagnostic findings, and recommendations on repair orders.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure repair quality.
• Maintain productivity while delivering repairs that meet the highest quality standards.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with Service Advisors, Shop Foremen, and fellow technicians to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

• Perform engine replacements, transmission replacements, timing components, cylinder head repairs, and other major mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose complex drivability and electrical concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Perform manufacturer warranty repairs in accordance with factory standards.
• Accurately document all repairs, diagnostic findings, and recommendations on repair orders.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
