Job summary

IRON YELLOW LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Hauling Driver to operate a Class A semi tractor with air brakes and a hydra-tail trailer capable of handling loads over 80,000 pounds gross combined weight. You will transport heavy machinery and materials to job sites, customers, and facilities, following safety and regulatory standards.

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL with no air brake restriction, a current DOT medical card, and at least one year of related experience or an equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A with no air brake restriction and valid MVR.
• DOT medical card required.
• At least 1 year of related experience or a college/technical certificate.
• Experience with air-brake tractors and hydraulic tail trailers.
• Ability to secure cargo per FMCSA regs.
• Good written/spoken instruction-following abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A semi with air brakes and hydra-tail trailer.
• Load/unload using hydraulic tail and haul oversize/overweight loads up to 60,000 lb.
• Secure cargo per FMCSA and safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report DVIR defects.
• Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and comply with hours-of-service rules.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers about schedules and instructions.
• Work with customers/vendors professionally and maintain confidentiality.
