Job summary

Barnhart Energy Company is seeking a Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join a nationwide team powering major industries with oversized equipment and complex loads. You will operate RGN, step deck, and multi-axle trailers, moving heavy and specialized loads across local and long-haul routes.

This permanent, full-time role requires a CDL Class A license, strong knowledge of load securement, and a mechanical aptitude to inspect and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license is required.
• Experience with heavy haul or over-dimensional loads.
• Knowledge of axle weight distribution and load securement.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to inspect and maintain equipment.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Transport over-dimensional and heavy loads on local and over-the-road routes.
• Operate heavy-haul equipment including RGN, step deck, and multi-axle trailers.
• Work as part of a team-based heavy haul operation on complex loads.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Assist with assembly and inspection of trailers and hauling equipment.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and equipment checks.

• Operate equipment including RGN, step deck, double/triple drop trailers, and multi-axle setups
• Work as part of a team-based heavy haul operation on complex loads
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
• Assist with assembly and inspection of trailers and hauling equipment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and equipment checks

What You Bring

Required:

• CDL Class A license
• Experience with heavy haul or over-dimensional loads
• Knowledge of axle weight distribution and load securement
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to inspect and maintain equipment
• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently

Preferred:

• Experience with multi-axle setups (9-axle, dual lane, etc.)
• Experience with hydraulic trailers or specialized hauling equipment
• Double/Triple endorsements
• Ability to operate supporting heavy equipment
