Job summary

Circle V Specialized in Tulsa, OK, seeks an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to safely operate, load and unload cargo, and secure oversized loads. This role requires CDL Class A with appropriate endorsements and DOT compliance while traveling across the continental US and Canada as an over-the-road driver.

You will be responsible for securing loads, maintaining logs, and ensuring equipment safety. A strong safety record, willingness to travel, and ability to work nights/weekends as needed are

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double or triple endorsements.
• Previous experience driving over the road with flat bed/open bed preferred.
• Must pass post-offer employment drug testing, medical exams, background check, MVR review, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Drive on public roadways and construction sites in accordance with safe practices and DOT regulations.
• Operate and deliver materials on assigned vehicles safely and professionally.
• Verify specification and order compliance for delivered materials.
• Maintain DOT logbook and comply with all DOT requirements.
• Keep trucks and equipment in safe, proper condition and perform minor repairs.
• Attend at assigned times and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Description

Circle V Specialized provides hauling services for construction equipment, bridge beams and energy related companies in the oil, gas, coal, wind, and nuclear industries. The company is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has a fleet of 13 trucks and several specially designed trailers. Circle V Specialized has the ability to transport loads weighing up to 450,000 pounds. With the authority to haul in the contiguous United States and Canada, there is no limit to where we can go. This position is an over-the-road truck driving role.

Position Overview

The Heavy Haul Driver position is responsible for safely driving and operating, loading and unloading cargo from trailers, and securing loads when necessary. This position will haul a variety of equipment and cargo in varying lengths, height, and weight.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Drive on public roadways and construction sites in accordance with safe and prudent practice, DOT regulations, public safety laws, OSHA regulations, and the Company’s Safety Program.
• Operate and deliver materials on assigned vehicles in a safe, legal, efficient, and professional manner without additional training.
• Verify specification and order compliance for the materials delivered.
• Operate assigned vehicle in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations, Company policies and procedures, and safe practice.
• Maintain DOT logbook and comply with all DOT requirements as necessary.
• Use sound judgment in all driving and site conditions. Drive safely and carefully. Comply with all traffic laws. Adjust driving to the conditions. Take all necessary precautions to protect assigned vehicle and other’s property.
• Keep assigned trucks and equipment in a safe and proper mechanical condition, correctly maintained and clean inside and outside. Insure the proper servicing and maintenance of assigned vehicle. Perform minor repairs and service when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or demonstrable equivalent.

Work Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years in age or older.
• Must pass post-offer employment drug testing, medical exams, background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and physical agilities testing.
• Must pass D.O.T. required physical.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and/or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
