Ideal candidates have a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and proven experience in heavy haul or equipment transport. You will perform load securement, site evaluation, and strict compliance with DOT hours-of-service.

About the Role

As a Heavy Haul Transport Specialist, you will play a critical role in the construction lifecycle by ensuring heavy machinery reaches job sites safely and on schedule. You will leverage modern fleet management technology to coordinate local deliveries, providing essential support to our clients' daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Transport diverse heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, and aerial lifts, across local service areas.


• Execute independent loading, chaining, and binding procedures to ensure full compliance with FMCSA cargo securement standards.


• Evaluate job site conditions, including overhead clearances and terrain, to ensure safe and efficient offloading.


• Maintain precise digital delivery logs and status updates using integrated fleet management software.


• Conduct rigorous pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to uphold safety and operational readiness.


• Collaborate with dispatch teams and on-site personnel to manage delivery windows and resolve logistical challenges.


• Operate commercial vehicles in strict accordance with DOT hours-of-service regulations and state transportation laws.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.


• Proven experience in heavy haul operations or commercial equipment transport.


• Demonstrated proficiency in securing heavy machinery independently.


• Ability to pass all required DOT physicals, background checks, and drug screenings.


• Minimum age of 21 years old.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating Lowboy or RGN trailers.


• Possession of tanker or doubles/triples endorsements.


• Background in construction logistics or equipment rental services.
