Republic Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy, compact, light service equipment and trucks. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical problems, maintaining electrical and hydraulic systems, and aligning with safety policies to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires ASE-certified knowledge and experience with Tier 4 emission systems, welding skills, and ability to read repair orders and record time and parts usage

Qualifications

• ASE Certification evidences advanced knowledge in system diagnostics.
• Experience on heavy equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of Tier 4 emission systems.

Responsabilités

• Maintains advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment.
• Performs repair or preventive maintenance on electrical, diesel and gasoline vehicles including compact and heavy equipment.
• Repairs engines, transmissions, chassis, hydraulics, brakes, electrical and suspension systems.
• Reads equipment condition reports and discusses defects with operators to prevent future repairs.
• Documents parts usage and repairs times; records on work orders and time cards.
• Completes daily consumption reports for input into fleet management software.
• Interprets oil analyses and on-board data to optimize maintenance decisions.
• Follows all safety policies and performs engine overhauls when required.
