Job summary

ONE Martin Marietta is seeking a skilled mobile equipment technician for surface and underground mining environments in Indiana. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CAT, Komatsu, Volvo quarry/construction equipment and diesel engines, with emphasis on safe operation and reliability.

This full-time role requires 40+ hours weekly, a HS diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and 5 years of hands-on repair experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 5 years of equipment repair experience.
• Valid US driver’s license; CDL and trade-school certification are a plus.
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu and Volvo quarry/construction equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment.
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on equipment.
• Operate safely and work in surface and/or underground mine settings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Ability to work safely at all times
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines
• Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Valid US driver's license
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs
• Certification from a trade school is preferred
• Previous mining experience is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus
• A CDL and a clean driving record is a plus.

This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
