Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate cranes and related machinery on industrial sites. You will lift, move, and position loads, and follow signals from a rigger to ensure safe attachment before lifts.

Requirements include 1–3 years of construction equipment experience, no formal education minimum, and the ability to pass drug and physical tests. We offer benefits, ESOP ownership, and opportunities in a historic company.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 1-3 years of operating equipment in a Construction setting.
• Must pass drug screen , and Physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator, water truck, loader, and skid-steer equipment.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Clean, maintain, and lubricate equipment.
• Take actions to avoid hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, workers, and falling objects.
• Operate equipment according to signals from rigger.
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

The- Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before making any lift. Erect structures, move products, equipment, or materials to and from industrial work areas by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
