Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking field operators to support the mechanical scope of solar and BESS projects. This field-based role is stationed at the Krum, Texas project site, requiring hands-on operation of heavy equipment and strict adherence to safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a GED or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience, and relevant equipment certifications. CDL endorsements and a valid license are helpful. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Safety regulations must be followed on all job sites.
• Proficient handling and understanding of listed heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication and fueling.
• Basic math for load calculations and measurements.
• Able to read safety rules and operation manuals.
• Capable of lifting 50+ pounds as required by tasks.
• Stamina for standing/walking and extended shifts.
• Follow instructions precisely and take feedback well.
• Construction site experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication with crew.
• Demonstrates safety, quality, and punctuality.
• Report field decisions and maintain production logs.
• Work outdoors in varied weather and environments.
• Exposed to noise, dust, and construction hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment on site including blade, dozer, loader and excavator.
• Perform tasks such as backhoe, roller, forklift/telehandler and skidsteer operations.
• Maintain equipment through lubrication, fueling and cleaning.
• Follow safety procedures and read/load charts as required.
• Assist with field documentation and reporting of progress.
• Collaborate with team to ensure on-time construction delivery.
