Job summary

Crowder Construction Co in the Southeast is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support road and infrastructure projects. Primary function includes operating dump trucks, loaders, trackhoes, backhoes, and bulldozers, with field maintenance and safety as priorities.

Applicants must have five years of safe operation experience, pass a drug test, be legally eligible to work in the US, and may travel multi-state for projects.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day.
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools).
• May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities).
• Five years of experience safely operating equipment such as dump truck, loader, trackhoe, backhoe, tamper, water truck and bulldozer.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts and pipes.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment in the field.
• Check and maintain all fluid levels and lubrication.
• Assist other crafts when equipment is not in use.
