Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development District 07 is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support road and bridge construction and maintenance. You will operate, maintain, and assist in projects under a Highway Foreman, with opportunities for structured DOTD training.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in road/bridge projects.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operates various heavy equipment as needed for construction and maintenance.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Follows training programs and adheres to safety and CDL policies.
• Performs other tasks as directed to support DOTD missions.
• May train lower level operators or laborers.
