City of Lubbock is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to service and operate large construction equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, and excavators.
You will perform maintenance, handle field repairs, and follow written and oral instructions in a safety-conscious environment. The role requires a valid Texas CDL Class A license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a physical exam. This is a critical infrastructure position with background checks.
Operates and services the heavier types of construction equipment such as backhoe (greater than 5 feet), dump truck, front end loader, skid steer, excavator, valve truck, volumetric concrete mixer, haul truck and other construction equipment of comparable size and complexity.
Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional 2 year of progressive experience on any of the required equipment listed on this job description; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following:
Texas Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A Driver's License
