Job summary

Lewis Energy Group in Texas is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I to operate light to heavy equipment for installation, maintenance and repair of infrastructure and properties. You will work independently or with a crew, performing safety checks and assisting with routine maintenance, including night and weekend shifts as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with basic reading/writing ability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Excellent problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in installation, maintenance and repair tasks.
• Follow safety regulations and perform daily safety checks.
• Identify hazards and determine appropriate procedures on site.
• Assist with field crews or subcontractors as needed.
• May assume foreman responsibilities in absence of supervisor.
