Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company in Nashville, TN, is seeking a skilled equipment operator to safely and efficiently run heavy off-road machinery on highway construction sites, including asphalt roller, backhoe, Bobcat, dozer, loader, and track drill.

You will perform safety inspections, document daily reports, communicate clearly with team, and adapt to varying weather and overtime schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification.
• Experience operating heavy off-road mobile equipment on road construction projects.
• Must be able to work overtime and outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mobile equipment safely and proficiently on paving and grading operations.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily reports.
• Back up safely and position equipment accurately.
• Report unsafe mechanical conditions to supervisor.
• Follow all safety and health rules at all times.
