KOMAN Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Harlingen, TX team. The role involves operating heavy machinery and assisting in roadway projects for a federal contractor in Texas.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of heavy equipment experience, are legally eligible to work in the United States, and can pass background and drug testing. A proactive team player is essential in this fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• One year or more experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Able to pass background and drug test.
• Able to work from diagrams, sketches, and oral/written instructions.
• Able to work effectively with fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate loading equipment and heavy machinery (skid steers, backhoes, tractors, loaders).
• Operate and/or drive trucks and light to heavy equipment (dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, broom).
• Assist with traffic control and roadway rights-of-way maintenance.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance and keep tools clean.

Essential Functions

• An employee in this class has general construction responsibilities Work is performed under general supervision Operates loading equipment and heavy machinery including skid steers backhoes tractors and front end loadersOperates andor drives trucks and light to heavy equipment dump truck water truck rollers broomOperates gas powered chain saw pole saws weed eaters and blowerAssists with traffic controlAssists in the proper maintenance of roadway rights of way including but not limited to moving and trimming trees and shrubbery and debris removalAssists in the proper maintenance of roadway and drainage facilities including but not limited to pothole repairs installation of signs and roadside maintenancePossesses working knowledge of the proper implementation and maintenance of traffic control devices as outlined in the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control DevicesPerforms routine maintenance of vehicles and light to heavy equipmentKeep vehicle and equipment cleanEssential Personnel for Emergency Situations
