Job summary

Mid Valley Disposal is looking for a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Compost Operations site in Fresno, CA. This full-time role emphasizes safe operation of heavy machinery and keeping materials moving efficiently through our recycling and composting processes.

This position involves daily equipment inspections, collaboration with supervisors and maintenance staff, and adherence to OSHA safety procedures in an outdoor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably front-end loaders.
• Experience in recycling, waste, or solid waste operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Move, load, sort, and transport recyclable and waste materials.
• Maintain material flow to conveyors and processing areas.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, contamination, or prohibited materials.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with supervisors, spotters, maintenance staff, and team members.
• Assist with site cleanup and additional facility duties as needed.
