Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking Operators to safely operate heavy equipment around overhead and underground utilities. Candidates must have prior heavy equipment operating experience, a Class A CDL, and the ability to travel within the area.

High school diploma or equivalent required; education may be substituted with relevant experience. Responsibilities include attaching implements to tractors, connecting hydraulic systems, operating controls to maneuver equipment, and performing basic maintenance

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience.
• Class A CDL.
• Ability to travel around the area.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Must pass computer-based testing, local Customer's operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Fasten attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge pin hitches.
• Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachments.
• Move levers to control tool bars, carriers, and disks.
• Move levers and depress pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way.
• Feel lever and listen for stalling action of engine to estimate depth of cut.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
