Job summary

Indian Trail is seeking a versatile Equipment Operator for semi-skilled, non-exempt work in operating a range of construction equipment. The role includes routine maintenance, safe operation, and support for emergency response activities during storms.

You will plan jobsite activities, assist with sign installation and barricades, and operate multiple machines in outdoor settings. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and basic experience with heavy equipment, plus First Aid/CPR

Qualifications

Graduation from High School or equivalent recognized certification.
Experience in the operation of construction equipment or equivalent training/experience preferred.
Maintain First Aid & CPR certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Pre-Employment Screening (drug test, driver’s license, background check, etc.).

Responsibilities

Operate assigned equipment for roadway and drainage maintenance according to job requirements.
Read and understand signs, signals, load charts, grade stakes, excavation plans, and manuals.
Inspect and monitor gauges; perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Ensure safety practices; manage debris and materials around job sites.
Set up and operate equipment; assist with manual tasks and cross-training.
Communicate actions and project status clearly to team members.
