Quality Labor Management (QLM) in Milton, FL seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for a construction project. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes, performing excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires outdoor work, reliability, and the ability to follow plans and communicate with supervisors and ground crews. OSHA procedures compliance, pre-op inspections, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Experience with excavation, grading, trenching, and site prep.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and jobsite hazards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and skid steers, as assigned.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and site preparation.
• Load, move, and distribute dirt, gravel, sand, and other construction materials.
• Assist with preparing foundations, access roads, and construction work areas.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and report equipment defects or mechanical issues.
• Follow construction plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions.
• Work safely around underground utilities, structures, and other personnel.
• Coordinate with ground crews and spotters during equipment operation.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance as authorized.
• Follow OSHA regulations and all established jobsite safety procedures.
• Assist with general construction duties when equipment operation is not required.
