Our dirt work season may slow down during the winter, but our commitment to the right people doesn't. We take pride in finding ways to keep our team employed year-round. Winter work may look different depending on available projects and can include snow removal, mitigation work, demolition, remodels, and other construction work.

What You'll Be Doing:

Our dirt crews support residential and commercial construction projects throughout Interior Alaska. Depending on your experience and our current needs, your work may include:

  • Site preparation, excavation, grading, and backfill

  • Trenching and drainage work
  • Fine and rough grading
  • Loading, moving, placing, and compacting materials
  • Operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, compactors, and other equipment
  • Performing basic equipment inspections and daily maintenance
  • Working safely around utilities, structures, equipment, and other crew members
  • Assisting with general dirt work and labor as needed
  • Working alongside other trades on residential and commercial projects
  • Maintaining clean, professional job sites and quality workmanship
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 2 years of dirt work, excavation, or equipment operating experience
  • Experience safely operating excavation and earthmoving equipment
  • Understanding of excavation, grading, compaction, and site preparation
  • Ability and willingness to work both in and out of equipment as the job requires
  • General construction and multi-trade experience are a plus
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and team-first mentality

We offer a limited number of Construction Apprentice positions for motivated individuals who want to learn, develop their skills, and build a career in construction. If you don't yet meet the experience requirements for this position, we encourage you to apply for our apprentice position.
