Miller Pipeline is seeking skilled heavy equipment operators to support underground and overhead utility projects. You will operate heavy equipment, perform field maintenance, and document maintenance and safety checks across multiple sites.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, ability to travel within the area, and passing local operator qualification tests. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality in infrastructure work.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience required.
• CDL Class A license required.
• Ability to travel around the area.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute for education.
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Fasten attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge pin hitches.
• Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or PTO shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachments.
• Move levers to control tool bars, carriers, and disks.
• Move levers and depress pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way.
• Feel lever and listen for stalling action of engine to estimate depth of cut.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintain all appropriate maintenance records.
• Assess the area to determine if the utilities were properly located prior to performing the underground work.
• Review the terrain to determine the best method to perform the job.
