Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to manage heavy equipment and vegetation management tasks for electrical line clearances. A valid driver license is required; CDL is preferred.

The role involves operating multiple machines, transporting equipment across multiple states, and performing routine maintenance on gear. Applicants should be prepared for pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Identify tree and shrub species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers and stump grinders.
• Transports equipment to multi-state job locations.
• Gathers brush and feeds into wood chipper; uses chainsaw for cutting brush, logs and stumps.
• Remains mindful of safety: hazardous equipment, protective gear, hearing protection.
• Maintains equipment in neat, clean, mechanical order.
• Assists spray personnel in herbicide mixing and applications.
