Rescue Rooter in Cleveland, OH is seeking a CDL-heavy equipment operator to join our field team. The role involves transporting materials, operating a backhoe for sewer/water/gas work, breaking concrete, and assisting on-site repairs while maintaining vehicles and tools.

You will backfill, inspect lines, obtain customer approvals, and document services performed. Strong safety practices and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operator experience or equivalent training.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Transport (CDL) materials, equipment and tools and track tool usage.
• Operate a backhoe or shovel to dig for sewer, water, and gas line repairs or new installations.
• Break concrete and prepare areas for digging.
• Assist technicians with repair work on-site.
• Backfill serviced areas, clean up, seed, and restore job sites.
• Remove old sewer lines and check line flow before completing jobs.
• Obtain customer approvals for work performed.
• Maintain and fuel the service vehicle and ensure proper truck stocking.
• Complete required documentation on services provided and handle any customer payments as needed.
