Overview

Archer Western is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Elbow Rd. Project, in Virginia Beach, VA. The primary function is to operate a variety of heavy equipment at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the job site as needed and to operate equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures. Candidates with a clean driving record are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and moving and/or transporting materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.


• Have knowledge of operating procedures related to loading and unloading materials.


• Oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; perform daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork and other documentation as required.


• Accept vibration, jolts, and loud noise associated with equipment operation.


• Perform other related duties as required.
