You will fuel, maintain, and perform safety checks, coordinating with fellow team members while complying with all safety rules. Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction or industrial settings.
• Willingness to work overtime and varied shifts.
• Competent with tablets/smartphones for job-related apps.
• Basic arithmetic skills for measurements and counting.
• Background in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in small teams.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Weekend work availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for treated cross ties, switch ties, and bridge timbers.
• Handle fueling, maintenance, and routine care of equipment; comply with safety laws.
• Coordinate with laborers and management; no supervisory duties.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks; report issues promptly.
• Complete pre-operational checks; clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for operating heavy equipment related to treated cross ties, switch ties and bridge timbers. Responsible for all fueling, care, and maintenance of their equipment, as well as compliance with all company, local, and Federal safety laws. Works closely with all employees from Laborers to management and has no supervisory responsibilities. Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment Other construction related duties as required Responsible for properly maintaining equipment and notifying supervisor of any mechanical issues that need to be addressed Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary.

Candidate Qualifications / Requirements

• 1 year of experience running heavy equipment
• Ability to work overtime
• Intermediate tablet/smart phone skills
• Basic math skills (addition, subtractions)
• Manufacturing experience
• Experience working in small teams
• Working outdoors
• Working weekends

Candidate Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanic Welding
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Schedules Available

• Swing shift Operator: Monday-Wednesday 3pm-11pm Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm
• Operator: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
