Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to ensure a steady flow of material for processing. You will receive training to safely operate a Front End Loader and learn how to mix raw materials, unload and load product to meet production goals.

The role demands experience in loader operation, solid work history, and flexibility to cover weekends or holidays as needed. You will work on-site with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency in a busy processing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in loader operation.
• Demonstrated solid work history.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays or cover other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates yard and plant equipment to load materials.
• Maintains raw material mixture.
• Maintains contact with operator to ensure efficient mix rate.
• Performs daily maintenance on loader before each shift.
• Washes plant equipment, vehicles, and processing areas with high pressure washer.
• Performs general cleaning in work areas.
• Keeps area clean; raw materials piled out of driving area.
• Maintains safety as top priority according to company rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Good oral and written skills; able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
