Gibralter Border Barriers in El Paso, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support our civil construction projects.
You will safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders and dozers, perform daily inspections, and help with site tasks while following plans and supervisor direction.
Experience in heavy civil or site development is preferred; a valid driver's license and applicable equipment certifications are a plus.

Safely operate construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers, and other equipment as assigned.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Excavate, grade, load, backfill, compact, and move materials based on project needs.
Work safely around ground personnel, other equipment, utilities, and active work zones.
Follow grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor direction to complete assigned work.
Assist with general site activities and support multiple crews as needed.
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Follow all company, project, and site-specific safety requirements.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy construction equipment.
Strong awareness of construction hazards, equipment blind spots, and safe operating practices.
Dependability, accountability, and consistent attendance.
Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and ground personnel.
Willingness to operate multiple types of equipment and assist with other site tasks as needed.
Ability to perform physical work and work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Previous heavy equipment operating experience strongly preferred.
Experience in heavy civil, site development, excavation, grading, or similar construction work strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and applicable equipment certifications preferred, where required.
