Job summary

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for a night shift at Fletcher Mine in Centerville, MO. You will operate heavy equipment safely and effectively to support mining operations and production.

Position involves both surface and underground work, with on‑the‑job training and opportunities for career growth. Benefits begin day 1, with a targeted monthly bonus of 5% and a starting pay of $26.04/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of Entry Level Miner program plus underground experience.

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to properly operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to support the operation. This night shift position will be located at Fletcher Mine in Centerville, MO.

The work location may change as needed to support production and business needs within the Viburnum Trend in Southeast Missouri.

Education & Experience

• Between 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience may include operating equipment outside of Doe Run.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Successful completion of Entry Level Miner program plus previous experience operating road grader. (underground only)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Mechanical aptitude to perform minor maintenance: Example changing filters, greasing equipment, and other routine maintenance.
• Examples of but not limited to:
  • Surface: Operate forklift, front end loader, dozer, manlift, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Underground: Operate grader, boulder breaker, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Perform pre-shift inspection of equipment.
  • Perform work area inspections.

Work Environment, Physical & Lifting

• Regularly works underground and in confined spaces, is required to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, a respirator, hearing protection, hardhat and eyewear. Regularly exposed to vibration; frequently exposed to wet, humid conditions. Must work rotating shifts up to 7 days per week. Exposed to loud noise levels.
• Regularly requires driving; frequently requires sitting, talking, hearing, grasping, and repetitive movement. Occasionally requires feeling attributes of objects, standing, walking, reaching with hands/arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing or balancing. Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, and precise hand-eye coordination.
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
