Responsibilities

• Operate chippers, dozers, excavators, grinders, mulchers, and other heavy equipment as instructed.
• Grub and rake acres per day while following safety guidelines.
• Work with grinders and associated tools in coordination with other operators.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and safe working conditions on site.
• Be aware of underground utilities and obstacles, and avoid hazards.

Keyresponsibilities

• Maintainasafeworkplaceandensurethatsafetyisalwaysthehighestpriority.

• Performdailyequipmentcheckstoensureallequipmentisproperlymaintainedandisinsafeoperatingcondition.
• Followinstructionsandcompleteassignedtasksefficientlyandeffectively.
• Takeactionstoavoidpotentialhazardsorobstructions,suchasutilitylines,otherequipment,otherworkersorfallingobjects.
• Haveappropriateclothing,workbootsandPPEwhileonthejobsite.
• Beawareofundergroundservices,suchaspipesorwirepriortobeginningworkandbecautiousoftheirlocationsthroughouttheworkday.
• Readjobplanstoensureathoroughknowledgeofthejobathand.
• Checkallequipmentfluidspriortostartingtheworkday.
• Checkfuelsuppliesofallequipmentatthejobsiteonadailybasis–priortobeginningwork,andbeforecompletingwork,toensurethatequipmentisreadytooperateatanytime.
