Overview
Responsible for driving, controlling and servicing heavy duty construction equipment in order to maintain the resources of Maintenance and Operations to develop campuses in a condition of operating excellence, appearance and safety, so that educational use of the facilities can be obtained.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver's license (Class C)
- CDL license a plus
Special Knowledge & Skills
- Other heavy equipment licensure if required
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Hand & foot coordination operating multiple levers, buttons, pedals and controls at the same time
- Ability to read gauges, dials and other indicators and react mechanically to what you are seeing
- Coordinate your actions with other workers on busy job sites
- Ability to detect and fix operating problems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Knowledge of basic vehicle operation and maintenance
- Familiar with electronic work order systems
Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in related field
Salary
AUX PG 5 / 261days – Starting: $17.95 per hour
