Job summary

Overview

Responsible for driving, controlling and servicing heavy duty construction equipment in order to maintain the resources of Maintenance and Operations to develop campuses in a condition of operating excellence, appearance and safety, so that educational use of the facilities can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver's license (Class C)
• CDL license a plus

Special Knowledge & Skills

• Other heavy equipment licensure if required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Hand & foot coordination operating multiple levers, buttons, pedals and controls at the same time
• Ability to read gauges, dials and other indicators and react mechanically to what you are seeing
• Coordinate your actions with other workers on busy job sites
• Ability to detect and fix operating problems
• Ability to operate heavy equipment
• Knowledge of basic vehicle operation and maintenance
• Familiar with electronic work order systems

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in related field
