Job summary

Precision Aggregate Products LLC. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile equipment including cranes and bulldozers. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure safety and efficiency per manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities include disassembly/reassembly, parts replacement, testing, and documentation of service records. A High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong safety awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read manuals and technical drawings, and work with precision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts on heavy equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment with hoists and hand tools.
• Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects and ensure safe operation.
• Test machinery after repair to verify performance against specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.
• Read manuals, blueprints, and drawings to guide work.
• Overhaul and test machines to maintain efficiency and reliability.
• Fit bearings and adjust subassemblies using basic tools and jacks.
• Diagnose faults with diagnostic equipment and gauges.
• Schedule maintenance and keep service records for industrial machines.
• Order and maintain parts inventory for service and repairs.
• Assemble gear systems and align frames and gears.
• Fabricate parts from sheet metal when needed.
• Direct workers during assembly/disassembly and cleaning tasks.
