Job summary

Felix Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic II to keep our fleet running strong in our Phoenix shop. You will diagnose, replace major components, and perform repairs across a range of heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a heavy equipment or heavy-duty truck mechanic.
• Comfortable performing heavy line mechanical work and major parts replacement.
• Able to follow direction from senior mechanics or supervisors with minimal supervision.
• Takes ownership of assigned work and completes it.
• Enjoys hands-on work rather than managing others.
• Works safely and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Replace major components including powertrain, brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain systems.
• Perform heavy mechanical repairs on backhoes, loaders, excavators, lifts, trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment.
• Repair and replace starters, alternators, batteries, and other electrical components.
• Assist with hydraulic system repairs and component replacement.
• Assist with engine and transmission repairs and overhauls.
• Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Complete equipment inspection reports and repair documentation.
