Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to keep our construction and utility equipment running safely and reliably. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, replace parts, repair bodies, and ensure equipment stays in top condition.

Requirements include 2–5 years' experience, hydraulics, drive train, controls and electrical diagnostics preferred; welding and basic computer skills are a plus, along with the ability to move and operate heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience repairing construction or utility equipment.
• Hydraulics, drive train, controls and electrical diagnostics experience preferred.
• Welding experience is desirable.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to move/operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks to keep equipment in safe working order.
• Repair engine failures and replace parts as needed.
• Repair body damage and ensure overall functional condition.
• Maintain equipment records and communicate issues to the team.
