Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic Helper to join our established, growing company.

The role includes assisting in setup, adjustments, maintenance, repair and welding of equipment, with temporary operation of equipment for on-site adjustments. In the shop, you will contribute to welding and burning tasks and operate lathes, saws, shapers, girders and presses, while gaining knowledge in lubrication, paint and body work, injector-governor, and engine rebuilds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.
• Good driving MVR.

Responsibilities

• Welding and burning of equipment; operating lathes, saws, shapers, girders and presses.
• Assist in the repair and overhaul of heavy equipment in the shop, including cranes, tractors, booms and loaders.
• Make field repairs and perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• May perform other duties including building and grounds maintenance.
