Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) in the United States seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to analyze malfunctions, repair power equipment such as cranes, shovels, bulldozers, and related machinery, and maintain equipment to high standards. You will inspect, dismantle, reassemble, and test components using hoists, micrometers, and gauges.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with DS/GS level maintenance training.
• 3+ years journeyman level equipment maintenance experience.
• Commercial experience on Heavy and light vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Overhaul, repair and service heavy vehicles and equipment at field and sustainment levels.
• Ensure work quality and proper use of tools and materials.
• Comply with standards per manuals, ETMs, and local SOPs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; use scanners.
• Perform inspections and ensure proper job completion.
