Job summary

The Scruggs Company, Inc. (TSC) is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our local operations in Georgia. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of diesel and hydraulic powered equipment and vehicles.

You will diagnose mechanical problems, perform welding and fabrication, and use Fleetwatcher, Insite, Cat-ET and JPro to maintain accurate records. A valid driver's license and ability to pass drug tests and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in heavy equipment mechanics - diesel and hydraulics.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass drug testing and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical problems.
• Welding and fabricating.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Provide updates to Shop Foreman on repairs and communicate effectively.
