Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to repair and maintain our fleet under limited supervision. The role supports our operations nationwide with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostic repairs of electrical/hydraulic systems, service calls, safety checks, and documentation of parts and time. Eligible candidates should have at least 1 year of related experience or 4 years in similar maintenance roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair experience, or 4 years of similar work accepted.
• Heavy equipment diesel mechanics experience encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with safety and OSHA standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance services.
• Inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment.
• Repairs electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles/equipment.
• Performs service calls and safety checks.
• Completes repairs and documents parts usage and time worked.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and collaborates with team.

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic who, under limited supervision, will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance services
• Inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
• Performs service calls
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles
• Assists Lead Mechanics as needed
• Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
• Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

Experience, Education, Certification:

• Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.

Physical Requirements:

• Reach with hands and arms
• Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
• Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
