Job summary

You will perform routine service, diagnose complex mechanical and hydraulic issues, and ensure equipment reliability across diverse job sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and safety procedures, with a strong work ethic and dedication to quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment parts, performance requirements, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, welding, and flame cutting equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving habits.
  • Knowledge of small engine equipment such as generators and compressors (preferred).
  • Advanced education or training in electronic computerized diagnostic systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company-owned and leased heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
  • Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate vehicle and equipment parts as needed.
  • Examine and repair hydraulic components for leaks, ruptured hoses, or worn gaskets.
  • Travel to job sites to perform on-site repairs as necessary.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Rebuild or replace engines, repair hydraulic fluid pumps, and address electrical problems.
  • Work in various environments, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Accurately complete repair orders and maintain electronic logs.
